Fashion Economy!

Now we know that we are pro's in fashion, but that does not mean that we are not pro's in everything especially economy, money and taxes. But we like to think that money has to do with everything, and that kind of is the truth, but you can take anything and when we say anything we mean anything and give it a fashion story! So here without further or do is my take on economy and money in a fashionable way!:

Think of your life money or investment in a professional way as a coat. But not just any coat ; a Chanel coat  that you chose yourself, you put a lot of money into it, considering the fact that it's Chanel. The more you wear it, the more you become attached to it and realize that it can match and go with anything. Now the more you wear this coat, the more bucks you spend. Until finally you have had the coat for a couple of months now. And then one day when you realize that you wear this coat almost everyday, that the Chanel coat you loved till the seams ripped open, that it's not 100% cashmere. Now you would think; it's Chanel how can it not be cashmere, but it contains over 10% acrylic! This results in the fact of being ripped of! So this is how we get to the point that money they are like clothes, well they buy you clothes but still, the moment you saw it on the hanger, at Barney's where there was a 50% off, you fell in love with the color and the cut and the fabric. So you bought it, and here you realize that you must read EVERYTHING, before sliding your credit card!

Hopefully a fashion person would understand this, because clothes they are priceless, even though they cost money! =)

S.A.G AWARDS REPORT CARD!

HERE WE HAVE SOME OF THE FAMOUS PEOPLE THAT ATTENDED THE S.A.G AWARDS!

 Kelly Osborn: A

She looked really classy in this pretty white dress, simple yet elegent! 

 Lea Michele: A+, she looked like a pro who comes to these things  like its a piece of cake!

  Emma Stone: A+ She looks so beautiful, the dress the shoes the make up, we just love it! 

 Jane Lynch: B+, she looked soo adorable, and blue looks great on her! But we feel like we have seen this type of dress on her a lot of times!

 Brangelina: A+, they looked soo good as a couple, little bit to the darker side but still amazing!

 Meryl Streep: A+ We love Meryl Streep, and she looks impeccable!

 Emily Blunt: A+, we have not seen Emily in a long time on the carpet but who cares she looked stunning in that beautiful green color!

We think that this has been the best year for what people were wearing, no mismatched shoes, no crazy feathers just good style!

Concept Boards

Here is a fun fashion craft you can do if you like to design or just for fun. They are called Concept boards. These "Concept boards" capture your point of view of what you want your design to represent ( ex:  a black and white theme, or a patterned perspective)!!! These are easy t make and are a cool outcome to inspire you.

What You Need:
Old fashion magazines and newspapers
scissors
glue
a piece of constructing paper.

1. Pick a theme or concept you want people to get by looking at your concept board.

2. look through old magazines and newspapers for the fashion that represents your theme. You can cut out from the magazine clothes , celebrities , makeup , jewelry, and colors!!!!

3. Once you have cut your ideas out put them on your construction paper in a collage.

4. Once you like the collage take the glue and glue the pieces onto your paper.

5. Now you are done and can admire your concept board. You can use this to help create a garment you want to sew  or another concept board!!!

Shoes

In an outfit it is mostly about the the over-all look. The over-all look combines of a shirt, jacket, pants , and SHOES.Believe it or not the shoes can effect the whole over-all look and ruin your outfit. So we decided we would make a blog about how to make that over-all look good.

The first type of shoe is a flats!!! Flats can come in many different shapes and colors. A flat is basically a different looking sandal( depending on what sandal you are thinking of). Flats are mostly worn now with jeans, and with dresses. You probably do not want to overdue your use of a flat.

Next there is the sandal. A Sandal is a mix of flats and flip flops. They are the type of shoe you would wear to the beach or the type you were on a summer day. You could  wear them with a dress or shorts just do not wear the wrong pair of sandals with jeans.Another type of popular sandal these days are crocs. Crocs you need to match your outfit with the color of the shoe.

Flip Flops are the next type of shoe . Flip Flops are not very needed to explain but we will any ways. They are a flimsy shoe that are made for the Summer . Flip Flops work with most outfits just do not pair them with a really fancy dress or a work outfit( unless they are for the beach)!!!

Sneakers are a interesting shoe. We think these are the only type of shoe that people and kids wear at almost any type of occasion. Mostly sneakers are work out sneakers you wear on a jog if you are a grown up, and to kid there are converse sneakers you most likely will see them wearing with every outfit. For a grownup they mostly a work out shoe and a shoe you could wear on the go , but to a kid they are a everyday shoe.

Boots are the winter must shoe. Boots are a long sanda in away.They are the shoe that you need to have during the winter to complete an outfit. They go well with any winter outfit as long as the colors work well together.

Lastly we have high heels and stilettos. These (if you do not already know) are a mix of a sandal and height type of shoe .These are the shoes you could wear on a fancy occasion too an event or to work , whichever you choose these shoes are very stylish. Most likely you do not want to pair these with a casual outfit.

SO there you have it , are guide to fashion tips about shoes!!!!

And for some other exciting news, we are finally going to show you how to make a beautiful flower necklace!!!! Also we were very sad to see one of our favorite project runway stars April Johnston to be alleminated from the show!!!

Yesterday Nuki posted her top 5 favorite fashion icons!!!! Today I will post my favorite icons below.

5. Ann Hathaway: i love Ann Hathaway's style. Every red carpet event she goes to she always looks high fashion. Never once have i seen her wear something that is ugly!

4.April Johnston: April is a designer on project runway and has a different way of design. She is more of a bold designer who doesn't usually use color. I  like her because she is always coming up with different ideas for the designs then you might think people would do but usually are the one of the best designs.

3. Heidi Klum: Heidi is one of my favorites because she always looks fashion forward. When she comes onto the runway she always has something new and wears a variety of different outfits.  

2. Kate Spade: Kate spade is a amazing designer. She designs so many different things that are all very tasteful. From purses to i touch cases they are all so up to date on what people want.

1. Mondo Guerra: Mondo is a fashion designer who got his start on project runway but got beaten out by a designer named Gretchen Jones. His designs are so colorful an dare always high fashion and of course tasteful. His designs are always patterned and he even turns a very ugly pattern look pretty in his own way.

I can just get my mad fashion skills from myself, there are always other  people, people important to the fashion world, who inspired me in a way that no one else could . So without further or do I present to you what inspires Nuki or who inspires Nuki!!

5. Betsey Johnson
Betsey Johnson is never afraid to show her true style, and it really raises the bar for me to show my true style and not to care about what other people think. People who cant go a day without wearing Chanel pant suits or Dior night gowns, probably think that her clothes are a joke. But  I think that every one of her clothes has it owns story!

4.  Heidi Klum:
Not only is she the host of my favorite show, but she is a model and a fashion designer and a mom and sadly a newly divorced wife, anyway she knows how to balance her fashion life with her personal and still look amazing. She is an inspiration to all of us.

3. Blair Waldorf: My favorite Gossip Girl star cant go a day without being 100% percent natural and new in all the ways possible. Though it must be very hard and tiring to be her, her clothes explain her perfectly. Their is not one day where she is not mismatched or wearing a 1 month old shoe. But she can still be sooo perfect and soo smart!!

2. Serene Van Der Woodsen: Also my favorite gossip girl star explains my style perfectly and that all of her clothes explain her personality. I see a lot of myself in her. Unlike Blair (her best friend), its ok if her hair is not newly combed by the worlds greatest hair stylist, and its ok if she is not always caught up on her fashion, but she actually wants her own career and life in something that she really want to do.

STREET FASHION AROUND THE WORLD!

Wherever you may live, everybody is wearing different looks on the street. Well know we are going to give you a world tour of all the street fashion in the major fashion worlds.

NEW YORK CITY: They don't sing "these streets will make you feel brand new, the lights will inspire you" for no reason. NYC is one of the top fashion capitals in the world, home to the famous Parsons (design school), celebs  and even where  Project Runway lives. Fur and animal prints are really trending in NYC this year. In NYC you will always be having a fashion enemy, wether its shorts in the Winter or Ugg's in the Summer, you can never be the most fashionable person!!!

PARIS: What  would fashion be without Paris, nothing, when we here the world Paris we think of fashion. This year in Paris, A lot of people on the streets have been wearing pastels or neutral color, especially in blue. There is no difference in Paris and NYC you will always have a fashion enemy!

MILAN: MILAN, MILAN, MILAN, I always thought that Paris and Milan were tied when it came to fashion, they are just sooo much alike. These year the main focus in Milan is color, whether its neon, bold, neutral of pattern, the clothes and the people wearing them love to make a statement!


LONDON: As some people might think London is the training heels to fashion, we actually respect London. The people their can be soo simple and fun at the same time. In London bags and accessorize seam to be a big trend on the streets!

TOKYO: And last but definitely not least Tokyo, we must say Tokyo is  has the strangest street style- in a good way! They like lots of colors and flowers and bows and sparkles, they can never have to__ while  still having too much. They like to stand out and in the fashion world that can be good and bad!!

101 on What to Wear to a Reastraunt

Do you ever wonder what to wear to a restaurant? Well we have the answers. First off it depends on the retrains you are going to. If it is a fast food restaurant you can wear pajamas for all we care. Next when you go to a social restaurant you can wear jeans in these type of stylish way

The next type of restaurant  is a "fashion hangout" restaurant ( a place you go on Fridays with friends). Here you might want to look high fashion casual but  not as casual as the social restraunt. We recommend wearing a little black dress look.

The last type of restaurant is a fancy restaurant. Here you want look your as rich as you can( both types of rich).You do not want to look to over the top as if John Galliano dressed you.

Project Runway All Stars

There are so many different fashion shows you can watch on television but one of our favorites is Project Runway! Project runway is a competition between 12 designers for a grand prize usually, a cash prize of $100,000 dollars from Loreal Paris design studio, a feature in Marie Claire magazine, a chance to have a line on Neman and Marcus  and a 50,00 technology sweep from HP and intel, but this year for project runway allstars they also get to be guest editor for a year for Marie Clair magazine, this is a grand prize 500,000 dollars!! WOW!! . Throughout the show each week one designer is eliminated. The have different challanges each week to create something as far out as out of materials from a pet store or as high class as a look for the opera. At  the end of the competition when 3  (or more) designers go to the New York Fashion Week. Each week they get judged my 4 different judges, Angela Lindcall, Isaac Misrahi, and Georgina Chapman with other very famouse guest judges!  This show is on every Thursday on lifetime.Here is the link to the recent season of project runwayproject-runway-all-stars.

Fashion Trends for 2012!!

BOLD PATTERNS!
BOLD COLORS!
BOLD PERFORMANCE!
2012 is about being bold and finding that inner dragon. We will be seeing a lot of patterns that are colorful but plain pieces that are in pastels. Short pant suits are also in along with metallic pieces and colorful camo. Something that has not been in style for a long time is the peplum skirt, designers are getting those out.

As for accessorize a tribal theme, especially with clutches and big bangles, in more darker and colder colors. But some designers are focusing on just the opposite, colorful floral jewelry. For shoes; there will be white ladylike shoes, we thought that that was very surprising. And finally big earrings are going to be in, instead of last year stud earrings.

Red Carpet Report Card

Last  night was the annual Golden Globe awards. Here are what we think about the fashion from lasts night show. Not all dresses spoke for themselves.

CHARLIZE THERON: A+

This dress is perfect for her skin tone and makes her beautiful body stand out.

JESSICA BEIL: C


Not too shabby for a newlywed. The dress makes her skin tone unflattering and her arms look two sizes to big. Her shoes; the size and the look is wrong!

SOFIA VERGARA: A


This dress makes her curves look beautiful, and the color brings out her eyes. You usually don't see a mermaid dress, but she wore it well. Even though this dress very pretty we agree it was not worth the 5 million dollars.

ANGELINA JOLIE: A+

Surprising at first that she came but even more surprising about what she wore. This Versace gown looked stunning on her. And the touches of red were just perfect.

NAYA RIVERA: C+



The dress was lovely except for that one big seam down the middle. Vera Wang you could have done better.

REESE WITHERSPOON: C+


 

This dress made her figure look very unflattering, and those silk smudges, looked like Wolverine made a stop at her houses earlier.

NICOLE KIDMAN: C+

  The dress really makes her figure look stunning, but we don't like the beading!

KELLY OSBORN: C-

This dress is very pretty, but her shoulders make her look too unflattering.

MADONA: D+


The color is not the best and the square make it look like an art project you would do in school.

MARIA MENOUNOS:A+


This dress needs no explaining!!!

EMMA STONE: A+

This dress suits her and it is absolutely stunning

HEDI KLUM: B+

This dress looks like it is melting into her skin.

PIPER PERABO: A+


This dress describes  Pipers attitude!!!!Love the shoes.
